Santa Clara, Calif.—The Santa Clara women's tennis team travels on the road to Stanford, Calif. on Fri., Oct. 20th to compete in the ITA Northwest Regional Championships. This four-day tournament will be the team's last official competition of the fall season.

After a few minor injuries that caused some of the Bronco players to drop their matches in the SMC Invitational last weekend, the team is looking to make a lasting impact at the Regional Championships. All 10 girls will be representing Santa Clara throughout the tournament.

"We are really excited about this weekend because we get to compete against a lot of really good teams. I know the match experience will help me be more prepared and confident going into the upcoming season," said Junior Kelly Lamble.

After coming off of a great run at the ITA All-American Qualifying in Los Angeles, Calif. earlier this season, sophomore Katie Le looks to continue her success. "We don't really have a lot to lose, so we are just going to put it all out there this weekend and give it our all," said Le.

"The whole team is really excited to play in this big tournament. It's a great feeling to get all 10 girls competing this weekend," head coach Ben Cabell said of this weekend's competition. "Having our whole entire team returning, we have high expectations for all the players, which is great. And we are just looking to build some momentum from this tournament going into the regular season in January."
