Rain Postpones Softball at Saint Mary's

April 24, 2003

MORAGA, Calif. - Today's softball doubleheader between Santa Clara University and Saint Mary's College, which was scheduled for 2 p.m., has been postponed due to inclement weather in Moraga.

Today's contests were rescheduled themselves from April 12, when rain canceled the teams' original meeting. As they are Pacific Coast Softball Conference games, they will be rescheduled, although dates have not been determined as yet.

Santa Clara has a 24-19 overall record, and at 6-2 in league action, is currently tied for first place in the conference. The Broncos are tied with LMU, and just ahead of third-place Sacramento State, the Broncos' opponent this weekend.

Additionally, the Broncos only need two wins to tie for the most victories by a Bronco squad in a single season. The program's best mark of 26 wins, was set in 1986.
