Women's Soccer Announces 2017 Schedule

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Coming off a deep NCAA Tournament run, Santa Clara women's soccer released its 2017 schedule Tuesday. The season kicks off Aug. 18 at Stevens Stadium against San Jose State. The Broncos play nine matches at home and a total of 20 regular season contests.

As usual, Santa Clara faces some stiff competition in 2017. The Broncos will play nine teams that made the NCAA Tournament last year, including at reigning champion USC on Sept. 8.

After the opener at home against the Spartans, the Broncos head to Cal (Aug. 20) and UCLA (Aug. 24) before returning home for a match with Washington State (Aug. 27). They then head to South Bend, Ind. for the Notre Dame Invitational (Sept. 1-3) where they will take on Michigan and Notre Dame.

On Sept. 17, Santa Clara hosts Stanford in a rematch of an epic NCAA second round showdown from a year ago. Nonconference play concludes with UC Irvine (Sept. 21) and at Cal Poly (Sept. 24).

In West Coast Conference play, the Broncos host LMU (Sept. 29), Pepperdine (Oct. 1), San Diego (Oct. 14), San Francisco (Oct. 29), and BYU (Nov. 4) in the regular season finale.

On Aug. 11, the team will have a Red and White Scrimmage at Stevens Stadium where fans can get a first look at the team.
