Women's Golf Continues Spring Season Monday

Feb. 23, 2002

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's golf team will continue its 2002 Spring Season with a three-team match at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course Monday and Tuesday of next week.

The Broncos began their spring season with a dual-match against Cal Poly in San Martin, Calif., on January 23. The Mustangs defeated the Broncos by a score of 328-380, but Santa Clara played with only four players due to injuries and sickness, leaving room for optimism about a better outcome this time around.

Following the three-team match on Monday and Tuesday, the Broncos will continue their schedule when they host the Santa Clara Colby Classic in Carmel, Calif. on March 25-26.

They will then play in the Cal State San Marcos Tournament and the Peg Barnard California Collegiate Tournaments before taking part in the West Coast Conference Championships on April 14-16.

The WCC Championships will take place in Fresno, Calif. this year and will be the Broncos last chance to qualify for the NCAA West Regional that begins May 9th at Stanford.
