Two free throws from Jennie Rondel increased SCU's lead to 20, 41-21 inside the two-minute mark. Rondel scored all 10 of her points in the first half and the Broncos led 46-23 on a baseline three Sutak made with one second remaining before intermission.

USD committed three straight turnovers to start the second half. A trey from the right corner from Anna Martin gave Santa Clara a 69-39 lead at 12:17, a lead the Broncos kept the rest of the contest.
