WCC Player of the Week (Sept. 29, 2008)

SENIOR (2011):
One of the top assist men in the league and was an All-WCC Honorable Mention selection at season's end ... he started in 15 games and played in 17 overall ... totaled six assists, which ranked third in the WCC ... he started in each of the team's first seven games, helping Santa Clara get off to a 6-1-3 start and earn a national ranking of No. 18 ... his first assist on the season came late in the second half against No. 6 UCLA (Sept. 3), crossing a ball to teammate Mykell Bates, who tied the game at 2-2, which would be the final score ... had a two-assist game on two different occasions, first in a 4-0 rout over Nebraska-Omaha (Sept. 9) and again vs. San Diego (Oct. 30), a 4-1 SCU victory ... Mitchell missed some time midway through the season with injury, but returned to the starting lineup against LMU (Oct. 28) and helped the Broncos go 5-0-1 in their last six and make a run at the WCC title.   

JUNIOR (2010): One of just six Broncos to play in all 21 games during the team's WCC Championship season of 2010 - starting seven ... ranked second on the team in shots (25) ... had at least one shot in 14 of 21 games ... put 11 shots on goal ... started in each of the first five matches, playing a season-high 79 minutes vs. Valparaiso (Sept. 10) ... recorded a season-high three shots in three different games, vs. Loyola Chicago (Sept. 6), at Gonzaga (Oct. 1) and at Portland (Oct. 3) ... helped the Broncos go on a 12-game unbeaten streak, scoring and assisting in a pivotal victory at LMU (Oct. 31), which vaulted SCU into first place in the league standings late in the year ... played 38 minutes in Santa Clara's championship clinching win over Gonzaga (Nov. 14) on the final day of the regular season ... played in SCU's NCAA tournament first round match against Sacramento State (Nov. 18).   

Big contributor to Santa Clara's 2009 team ... played in 19 of the team's 20 matches, starting 15 ... Mitchell's free kick set up a goal in SCU's 2-1 victory over San Diego (Nov. 15) ... helped SCU rally to score two late goals and tie LMU (Nov. 13) - posting a season-high three shots ... fired off two shots at San Jose State (Sep. 27) and vs. Gonzaga (Oct. 4) ... got a shot off vs. Cleveland State (Sep. 5), vs. Long Island (Sep. 7), vs. Sacramento State (Sep. 13), vs. Brown (Sep. 25), at Gonzaga (Oct. 30) and at Portland (Nov. 1).

FRESHMAN (2008): Saw action in 15 of 20 games ... recorded nine points on three goals and three assists ... scored his first collegiate goal in his first collegiate start against then-No. 4 Cal (Sept. 12) ... netted his second goal of the season, a game-winning shot, against Stanford (Sept. 27) ... named WCC Player of the Week (Sept. 29) ... dished out an assist on Kellen Wantulok's goals against Portland (Oct. 3) and Gonzaga (Oct. 5) ... dished out an assist on Sean Danzeiser's goal against Loyola Marymount (Oct. 17) ... scored his third goal of the season against Portland (Nov. 2).
