Head coach Cameron Rast, on game: "Coming to Spokane is always tough for us. We knew that we needed to play well and push the game. I feel that we did that but we did not capitalize on our chances and you have to credit their effort. The game could have slipped away from us at the end, but the defense hung in there and Joseph Buttitta did well and made some big plays for us. We can definitely build on today's performance."
Rast, on road trip: "Gonzaga is always good at home and we wanted to get something out of today's game so that we had confidence against Portland. If we had lost today, we may have been a little deflated for Sunday. But we stayed organized and were able to play our game against a team that had its back against the wall. I think that we will be ready to play on Sunday."
