Head coach Cameron Rast, on game: "It was a tough game and we knew it would be, but the guys were ready to play. We came out early and put them under pressure and got an early goal so that really helped us. Overall, I am pleased with the effort tonight and we got a great result."
Rast, on scoring goals: "We talked a lot about winning the ball and following up on opportunities and both of our goals came from extra effort. Keith (DeVey) kept going and was rewarded with a rebound and Sean (Danzeiser) showed great determination to get free. He then showed us some of his talent with a great finish."
Rast, on Peter Lowry's 70-yard shot: "He had beaten the goalkeeper for sure and only the cross bar was there to stop it. Even their coach looked over and said `Wow'. That is what you have to say about a play like that because it was amazing. It was great to see that kind of class from him because he has that ability. Unfortunately it did not go in, but it was still spectacular."
Forward Keith DeVey, on goal: "I knew that Amaechi (Igwe) would get a good shot off so I just continued my run and the goalkeeper couldn't handle it and I was able to put it away. The game started off very intense and their fans were really into the game, so getting that early goal kind of took a bit of their energy away.
DeVey, on seeing game out: "When we scored our second goal they put in some tall players up front and started sending a lot of balls into the box. I think that we dropped in a bit and held them off pretty well. It shows that we can play both the skillful passing game as we did at the start of the game and also the hard-nosed, tough game like the last 25 minutes. Having both of those styles will be important as the season goes on."
Midfielder Erik Ustruck, on win: "It is a good win for us and it is always nice to get a road win in conference. We expected a tough game in difficult conditions and we got that, but we played hard and got the win we came up here for."
Ustruck, on quick start: "We have been talking a lot about the first five minutes of each half and getting off to good starts. Tonight we got off to a great start with the goal and we kind of put them on their heels right away."
Forward Sean Danzeiser, on goal: "Chris Sauter served a ball in and I got a little lucky because their left back slipped a bit to help keep the play alive. Then I was able to get the ball away from him. It felt great to finish it since I missed a great chance on Friday and I did not want to miss again."
Danzeiser, on emotions after win: "We came up here in cold weather in front of a good crowd and got a win in their house so it feels great right now. Now we have to keep it going next weekend."
