Men's Rugby Hosts Defending League Champ Stanford

Men's Rugby Hosts Defending League Champ Stanford

The Santa Clara Men's Rugby team opens league play Friday night against the defending league champion, Stanford Cardinal, at 8:00 p.m. on Bellomy Field as part of the Bronco Pride week on campus.

This is the first ever night game for the team in what looks to be a very promising season under new head coach Paul Keeler and his staff.  The Broncos look to open the season with a bang behind senior captain Ryan Falvey and sophomore All-American Tim O'Hara, along with many other returning starters and a group of young talent.

Come support the team as they look to take down the champs and put on a show for the Friday night crowd!  The B-side game will start at 6:30 p.m. with the A-side match to follow at 8:00 p.m.

And don't forget the pre-game BBQ with alumni, family, friends, and fans at 5pm in Alumni Park located behind the Locatelli Center on campus next to the Leavey Center. Coach Keeler will talk about this upcoming season and the bright future of the program. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Bring the noise Bronco Fans!!
