Meet the Future of Bronco Baseball – Julian Tristan
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball announced the 15th member of its incoming recruiting class for the 2018-19 season, Julian Tristan.  The pitcher/outfielder currently attends Northwood High School in Irvine, California where he captained his squad last season.
"I chose Santa Clara University because of its prestigious academics, beautiful campus, and great tradition.  I believe in Coach Rusty Filter and his talented staff, and look forward to the opportunity to be the best player I can be and to contribute to the baseball team's future success," said Tristan.
Tristan, a two-time Rawlings-Perfect Game preseason underclassmen All-American high honorable mention, has also been on Northwood High Principal's academic honor roll every semester since his freshman year.  The six-foot-four, 185 pounder who bats and throws right, played for the Brewers of the 2017 area code baseball team.
"Julian is a premiere player and I believe one of the best prep players in the country.  He's a legitimate two-way player that should compete for a weekend rotation spot and also play in the outfield.  Julian is super-athletic and dynamic.  He's also a great student and he will represent Santa Clara well.  He should have a huge impact on our program," said Broncos head coach Rusty Filter.
Our next future Broncos will be announced in January.
