March 12, 2002

The Santa Clara University baseball program announced two new camps to be offered in April catering to youth who are on spring break.

The 2002 Bronco Baseball Youth Spring Training Camps will be offered to youth ages 6-12 on April 9-11 and again on April 16-18. The camp will run from 9 a.m.-Noon each day with a cost of $100 per camper.

The camps will focus on the basic fundamentals necessary to prepare campers for their upcoming Little League or Pony League season. The camp will accomodate all skill levels from ages 6-12.

Campers will be instructed in all areas of the game including hitting, fielding and pitching. Campers will be put through a variety of of specific drills and excercises that will stress the proper mechanics needed to become a successful player.

There will also be "games" in which the campers will be able to put to use the drills that they have been practicing during the instructional portion of the camp.
