Santa Clara Scholar-Athletes of the Week (Oct. 7 - 13)

Erin Pearson and Peter Moore were named Santa Clara's Scholar-Athletes of the Week.

Erin Pearson

The redshirt freshman from Prior Lake, Minn., has appeared in four matches for the Broncos, posting the best goals-against average on the team with her 0.74 average. She has played in just over 364 minutes in goal this season, having made nine saves with a 4-1-0 record, including a big win over No.3 UCLA this past weekend. In addition to her skills on the field of play, Erin has also shown her skills behind the microphone, singing the National Anthem at numerous Bronco sporting events. She is a Music major and currently maintains a 3.42 overall GPA.

Peter Moore

The sophomore from Pasadena, Calif., has stepped up his game in 2002, making 86 saves in nine starts between the pipes. He has posted a 4-5 record during that span, playing 357 minutes. Last year he played in 18 games, registering 113 saves in 370 minutes of play. He has already matched his win total from a year ago and has helped the Broncos to big wins over Claremont and Pomona-Pitzer. Peter has also excelled outside of the pool, posting a 3.47 overall GPA in the College of Business.
