Santa Clara University

Wipfler Family Golf Facility

The Wipfler Family Golf Facility on the campus of Santa Clara University provides an on-campus home for both Broncos golf teams. The $2.5 million project was completed in the fall of 2024. Spanning over 5,700 square feet, the Wipfler Family Golf Facility is meticulously designed to meet the diverse needs of Santa Clara's golf programs. Featuring a team lounge area, two enclosed hitting bays, and an expansive artificial turf short game area, the facility provides an unparalleled environment for players to hone their skills and elevate their game.

This facility was made possible due to a generous lead gift from Gary (MBA '86) and Barbara Wipfler.

McCarthy Short Game Area

The short game area is attached to the indoor facility via a large vertical-lift door and features over 4,200 square feet of green, fairway, rough, and bunker artificial turf space. This area allows our student-athletes to hone their short game skills without having to leave campus, providing a crucial developmental opportunity.

Hitting Bays and Simulators

Adjacent to the team room, the facility's two hitting bays -- one of which is named the Anne Middleton Hitting Bay -- are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including simulators, which enable personalized coaching and feedback to enhance player performance.
