Recap

Head coach Keith Wilbur, on game: "It was an important first game that we needed to win to get where we want to be. We played well and it is good to get a win under our belts."

Wilbur, on playing defense: "We actually played a really good defensive game. That was probably the most important thing we did. Except for at the very end, we were able to execute on defense which in turn helped our offense."

Claire Linney, on game: "I thought we played well as a group. The team did a really good job executing our game plan. In the second half we had a lot of steals and we were able to shut them down, and that helped to get our offense going."
