DAVIS, Calif. - Santa Clara women's water polo fell to Loyola Marymount 12-0 in the opener of the Davis Shootout, held at Hickey Pool this morning. With a 9-2 loss to Indiana later in the afternoon, the Broncos fall to 3-11 on the season.

Eight different Lions recorded goals for the Lions, with Jaime Kroeze leading all scorers with three goals. Bronco senior Sarah Peterson posted five saves in the loss.

In the afternoon match, sophomore Becky Hong and senior Kim Yost notched one goal each for the Broncos, but the team was unable to overcome nine Indiana goals, three from Kristin Stanford. Peterson added six blocks to lead Santa Clara defensively.

The Broncos remain in Davis for a 7:15 a.m. match against an opponent yet to be determined.
