AS A JUNIOR IN 2002: Named to the All-Tournament second team at the WWWPA Championships... recorded four goals and seven steals to lead the team on the weekend, including the Broncos' lone goal against LMU in the semifinals... finished second on the team with 56 goals along with teammate Elizabeth Glotzbach... had two four-goal matches, against then-ranked No. 10 UC Davis and No. 5 UC Santa Cruz... also scored three goals against Notre Dame, La Verne and Pomona-Pitzer... led the team in steals with 80.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2001: Was second on the team in goals scored with 40... tallied 25 steals... scored three goals in the Broncos' 4-3 victory over then-ranked No. 10 UC Davis... had two goals against then-ranked Division III No. 2 UC Santa Cruz and No. 3 Claremont.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2000: Received honorable mention honors as a member of the fifth-place Division III national championship team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Iolani High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, and played under coaches Aaron Chaney and Mark Cornish... team placed second in the state tournament... was named a first team ILH All-Star al three years and was the team captain her senior season... was also a member of the school's swim and softball teams... received the IDP Outstanding Dedication/Performance award.
PERSONAL: Born May 1, 1981 in Honolulu, Hawaii... parents are Herb and Kathy Hong... has one younger sister... majoring in combined sciences while earning a minor in Japanese.... last summer, coached fifth and sixth graders at Hawaiian Islands Polo... involved with the Eastside Project... earned honorable mention honors at the 1997 Junior Olympics as her club team, the Hawaiian Islands, placed fourth in the 15 and under category... club placed ninth in 17&U division.
