Bronco senior caption Kaitlin Murphy, who led the team in earned ejections and was second in goals, has been named Third Team All-American by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches.

Six Santa Clara Teams Recipients of NCAA Public Recognition Awards For Academic Achievement
Continuing its hard work in the classroom, Santa Clara's men’s outdoor track, women’s golf, women’s rowing, women’s tennis, women’s outdoor track, and women’s water polo teams were all recognized by the NCAA as recipients of the organization's Public Recognition Awards for academic achievement. The NCAA released the APR recognition by highlighting teams that demonstrated a commitment to academic progress and retention of student-athletes by achieving the top APR scores within their respective sports. Specifically, these six teams posted multi-year APRs in the top 10 percent of all squads in each sport. Also, men’s basketball recorded the highest four-year average APR for the West Coast Conference.

Broncos Finish Fourth In GCC Conference Tournament
After picking up a 10-8 victory vs. No. 7 seed Azusa Pacific on day one of the Golden Coast Conference Championship, the No. 3 seed Broncos dropped their next two games to No. 2 seed LMU and No. 5 seed Pacific. With a 1-2 record, the Broncos finished fourth at the first-ever GCC Championship.

The No. 17 Broncos have wrapped up day one of the Golden Coast Conference Championship. After battling against Azusa Pacific, the Bronco finished with the 10-8 and have advanced to the semi finals.

Golden Coast Conference Preview
After wrapping up the regular season last weekend, the No. 18 Broncos are set to play in their first-ever Golden Coast Conference Tournament. The GCC Championship will begin on April 24 at the Burns Recreation and Aquatic Center on the Loyola Marymount campus in Los Angeles.

Five Broncos Receive Golden Coast Conference Honors
The year of firsts for the Golden Coast Conference continues in its inaugural season as the league announced its 2014 GCC All-Conference selections on Tuesday. LMU's Alexandra Honny was named the Player of the Year and San Diego State's Ioli Benekou was named Newcomer of the Year, as voted on by the league's seven head coaches.

No. 18 Broncos Take Down No.17 UC Davis In Final Game of Regular Season
The No. 18 Broncos traveled to No. 17 UC Davis for their final game of the regular season. The Broncos were able to shut out the Aggies in the final quarter to win the game 11-10. The Broncos finished the regular season 16-11.

No. 18 Broncos Win in Final Second Over Cal Baptist
In the final conference game of the season the No. 18 Broncos hosted Cal Baptist at the Sullivan Aquatic Center. After battling up and down the pool, the Broncos were able to pull off the 15-14 win in the final seconds of the game and seal the No. 3 seed for conference championships.

No. 19 Broncos Drop Conference Game; Pick Up Win Over Sonoma State
The No. 19 Broncos faced conference rival No. 20 San Diego State on April 11 and traveled to Sonoma State on their senior day on April 12. The Broncos fell in a close game to the Aztecs but were able to defeat the Seawolves. The Broncos are now 14-11 heading into their final games of the season.

Julia Peters Named GCC Co-Player of the Week
Julia Peters of the No. 19 Broncos women’s water polo team has been named Golden Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week. Lead by Peters, the Broncos went 3-0 this past weekend, including two conference wins over Fresno Pacific and the University of Pacific.

BACK IN MY DAY: School Record Holder Taylor Harkins '11 Looks Back As Part of the 50th Anniversary of Women's Athletics
Santa Clara is catching up with many of the women celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Women's Athletics. Today we look back with former Bronco women's water polo player Taylor Harkins '11. Harkins has the career scoring record at Santa Clara with 171 goals, and she was team captain and MVP in 2011, her senior year. Harkins was named to the WWPA All-Conference First Team in 2011 and to the 2008 WWPA All-Freshman team her rookie year.

New Women’s Water Polo League, Golden Coast Conference, Hires Mike Daniels as Commissioner.
The newly formed women’s water polo league, the Golden Coast Conference, has named Mike Daniels as commissioner. The league will begin competition in the 2014 NCAA season and includes Azusa Pacific University, California Baptist University, Fresno Pacific University, Loyola Marymount University, San Diego State University, Santa Clara University and University of the Pacific.

WWPA Announces 2013 Women's All-Academic Team
Along with an impressive season in the pool, the Bronco women’s water polo team also performed in the classroom, landing nine team members on the 2013 WWPA All-Academic Team. The Western Water Polo Association announced the 2013 WWPA Women’s All-Academic Teams, with 59 student-athletes making the All-Academic team for the 2013 women’s campaign.
