Home Sweet Home Santa Clara took their first home game of the year and seems right at home in their final season in the smaller pool. Last season the squad went 4-1 at home and has two more games there this season. Next season, of course, the team will play in the new, regulation sized, Sullivan Aquatic Center pool.
Hat Trick Junior Claire Linney wasted no time making her presence known this season, notching a hat trick in the first game of the season. She also scored another goal against Stanford, quickly giving her the team lead in goals with four.
Strong Against Stanford Meg Zimmerman continues to have strong efforts against Stanford, drawing three kickouts and notching an assist this year. Last year she scored one of the two goals and drew a 5-meter penalty that led to the team's other goal.
Healthy Anderson Brianna Anderson is coming off of a shoulder injury and has not been practicing with the team for very long, but looks healthy and has been a big contributor so far this season. She was the teams leading scorer against Stanford with two goals to go along with two assists and also notched a goal in the Cal State East Bay game.
