Santa Clara Women's Water Polo Drops Home Opener

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's water polo team dropped its home opener to UC Davis by a score of 17-8 today at the Leavey Center Pool.

Sophomore Kelley Mays (Portland, Ore.) led the Broncos in scoring with four goals, while Kim Yost (San Jose, Calif.) added two scores. UC Davis was led by sophomore Tiffany Hodgens' four goals, while senior Kim Parker tossed in three scores.

The Broncos fall to 0-3 on the season, while UC Davis improves to 3-0. The two teams play again on Feb. 17th in the first round of the Slugfest Tournament hosted by UC Santa Cruz.
