"For the first time out, the team stuck to the game plan. We were tied at 20 in games one and two, but couldn't make the plays to close it out. In game three we kind of lost of our focus," said Bronco head coach Jon Wallace. "Dana was a big threat. Kayla Lommori had a lot of difficult swings, but she kept working hard to get after it. We couldn't get Kaleigh Durket the ball enough. We couldn't find a rhythm to find us get Kaleigh the ball more. She will be really good for us in the future. We need to play better as a team, especially at 20-20 when we didn't make a play to win a game."
Santa Clara hit .323 in game one, .207 in game two and .038 in game three. Oregon hit .421 in game one, .375 in game two and .440 in game three.
