Postgame Quotes: Stanford 3, Santa Clara 0

Nov. 30, 2007

Recap |  Final Stats

Head Coach Jon Wallace

On the match:
"I really liked the way we played tonight. Our players did everything we asked of them from the scouting report to practice to taking the floor tonight and playing their hearts out. Stanford had to beat us for the win tonight."

On Stanford:
"Alix Klineman had a lot of great kills for them. We expected them to hit over our middles but I think we handled them really well."

Senior Setter Crystal Matich

On playing in her final match:
"These four years went by so fast. I came in as a freshman not knowing much and Jon took me under his wing and made me into the setter I am today. We had our ups and downs but it has been so much fun being a setter for this program. I would not trade it for anything."

Senior Libero Caroline Walters

On playing in her final match:
"I have to echo was Crystal said. When I came in as a freshman, I was definitely scared and we went up to Washington that year for the NCAA and then the Final Four the year after that. I think that team changed the expectations for our program and because of that it has been really hard to lose in the first round the last two years."

Junior Outside Hitter Brittany Lowe

On the change in her attack from games one to two:
"I was really nervous in the first gamea and I couldn't find my rhythm. But then in the second game, something came over me and I just lost it. I started hitting the ball. I didn't know where it was going to go, but I just hit it as hard as I could and it worked out for us."
