Head Coach Jon Wallace
On the second games effect on the momentum of the match:
"I really liked what I saw in the scouring report and I believe we stayed true to it tonight. After the first game, we needed to make some adjustments in serving and blocking. We needed not to go up as high with the tall players on Pepperdine's squad. We knew the key to winning the game would be playing steady."
On Lauryn Dowd:
"Lauryn's serving wasn't very stable in the first game, but in the second game she really found her spot and did a fantastic job for us. She is definitely the best server on our team and I believe that her serving made Pepperdine uncomfortable."
On Krista Kelley's match-high performance:
"Krista is a winner. She's extremely competitive, wants the ball and loves every moment of it. The best thing about Krista is that if she makes a mistake in one play, she knows how to correct it so it doesn't happen again."
On replicating tonight's success against Loyola Marymount on Saturday:
"When I was talking to the team after the match, I challenged them to come back and play better Saturday against Loyola Marymount. It's going to be a big test for us. Last time we were in this situation was the first week of conference play. We defeated San Diego on Thursday on T.V. and then lost to San Francisco that Saturday. We need to have the same energy we had tonight and learn somethings from not only tonight's match but that first week of WCC play as well."
