SANTA CLARA, Calif. -Three Santa Clara University student athletes were recognized as some of the best and brightest in the West Coast Conference Wednesday when they were named to the Spring All-Academic teams as announced by the league office.

Erich Chen and Michael Duong from men's tennis earned the awards after posting tremendous years on and off the court. Chen maintained a 3.24 GPA in computer engineering while posting a 25-10 overall singles mark and a 7-3 record in WCC dual matches. Duong has maintained an amazing 3.82 GPA in business while posting a 16-15 overall singles record primarily from the No. 2 spot on the ladder. Both Broncos are sophomores and will return to the Mission Campus next season.

Christine Limbers was selected to the WCC All-Academic squad after posting a 17-14 record from the No. 1 spot on the women's team ladder. The junior has been an integral part of the Bronco team over the past three years while maintaining a 3.65 GPA in communications. Limbers also earned All-WCC Singles Honorable Mention honors for her play in 2002.
