STOCKTON, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's tennis team defeated Pacific 4-3 this evening at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts in Stockton. The Broncos improve to 7-7 on the season, while the Tigers fall to 4-12.

Senior Pati Ruiz clinched the victory for Santa Clara at the No. 4 singles slot, with her 6-2, 6-2 win over Urska Dvorsek. Catherine Cochrane, Casey Knutson and Mariko Kawakami also recorded wins for the Broncos.

The Broncos will remain on the road but return to the Bay Area in their next outing. Santa Clara will visit West Coast Conference rival San Francisco on Friday at 2 p.m.
