Women's Tennis Falls at USF

The Santa Clara women's tennis team fell 5-1 at USF on Fri., Feb. 13 in a weather-shortened match as the two teams only played singles. The Broncos are 1-5 on the season and 0-1 in WCC play.

The women host Northern Arizona on Sat., Feb. 14 at Noon.

"It was a tough match for us," said Bronco head coach Ben Cabell. "We had high hopes going into the match as our first conference match. USF definitely had the home court advantage, especially playing at Golden Gate Park, which are very unique courts. We look forward to them coming to play us at home (April 10) and hope for better results."

Myra Davoudi led the Bronco squad with the lone win on the day at No. 4 singles, getting the best of the Dons' Julie Wartenburger, 6-2, 6-1.
