Women's Tennis to Face Fresno Pacific Today

SANTA CLARA, Calif.- The Broncos will take on the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds today at 2:00 at Degheri Center. The Broncos are 1-3 this season after a 4-3 loss to Pacific last Saturday. This will be the season opener for Fresno Pacific.

Last Time Out
Santa Clara was defeated by Fresno Pacific 5-2 last year on February 28. Fresno Pacific swept the doubles matches. Sophomores Ashley Pane and Courtney Hull each picked up a singles win to bring in two points for the Broncos. Pane defeated Amandine Ferot at No. 5 with a 6-2, 6-4 victory while Hull won her match 6-1, 6-2 against Brittany Salley at No. 6.

Scouting Fresno Pacific
Fresno Pacific is led by experience, with four juniors and two seniors. The Sunbirds are coached by third-year head coach Neil Castro. Last season the Sunbirds finished 9-0 in the Golden State Athletic Conference to clinch the NAIA regional championship for the third consecutive season.
