SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Seniors Myra Davoudi and Lindsey McBride, along with freshman Carmen Pham were named to the 2008 West Coast Conference Women's Tennis Team, it was announced Wednesday. The triplet received honorable mention singles accolades, while the doubles pair of Davoudi and McBride was named to the honorable mention doubles team.
The award is the second for Davoudi, who was previously recognized by the WCC as a sophomore, and is the first for both McBride and Pham.
Pham finished with the team's best record, 15-15, and a 12-9 dual match mark playing mostly at the No. 4 spot. She went 4-1 against conference opponents during the regular season, which was another team-best. Davoudi went 11-20 on the season playing most of her matches at No. 2 singles. McBride compiled a 9-22 singles record, going 7-15 in dual matches playing mostly at the No. 3 spot. She went 2-3 against WCC opponents during the regular season.
In doubles action, Davoudi and McBride compiled a team-best 11-8 overall record, going 5-0 in WCC regular season dual matches. The duo played mostly at the No. 2 spot with a 10-5 record and won seven out of their last 10 contests.
