Broncos Continue Action at Saint Mary's College Invitational

Moraga, Calif. - The Santa Clara Broncos continued action today at the Saint Mary's College Invitational, with two players advancing to compete on the final day of the tournament in singles.  Junior Kim Daniel won in straight sets to advance to tomorrow's semi-final round of the Red Division, though junior Casey Knutson was not as fortunate, falling in the quarterfinals.

In the consolation draw of the Blue Division, Stephanie Herrmann easily advanced to the semifinals, while Ashley Lester fell in the first round of the consolation draw of the White Division. In doubles action, Daniel and Herrmann fell in the quarterfinals of the main draw in the Blue Division, while Myra Davoudi and Stephanie Galainena also won their match in the consolation round.

Action continues for the Broncos on the final day of the SMC College Invitational.
