Broncos Take on PCSC Opponent San Diego in Two Double-Headers This Weekend

April 17, 2008

SANTA CLARA, Calif - The Santa Clara Broncos (7-39, 3-5 PCSC) continue PCSC play this weekend as they take on San Diego (14-29, 1-7 PCSC) in the third conference series of the year. Santa Clara will travel to San Diego to play two double-headers, one on Saturday starting at noon, and the other on Sunday beginning at noon as well.

The Broncos had a difficult week, going 0-5 in four days. The team faced off against Saint Mary's over the weekend with two double-headers and had trouble getting things going on the offensive end. Santa Clara lost all four games 9-0, 2-0, 4-0, and 4-1. The Broncos did not have much luck in the game against Stanford on Saturday, getting no-hit in a 12-0 loss in five innings.

Noelani Ho'opi'i scored the only run for Santa Clara this week on a solo-shot homerun in the final game against Saint Mary's this weekend, her third homerun of the year.
