Broncos On Wrong End of Perfect Game Against Arizona State

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara fell victim to No. 1 Arizona State's Katie Burkhart's second perfect game of the season as they lost 8-0 in five innings. The Sun Devils improved to 28-1 and are in the middle of a 25-game winning streak. The Broncos drop to 4-28.

Jackie Morales pitched all 4.1 innings for Santa Clara, giving up eight runs, five earned, on just eight hits. The Sun Devils got off to an early start with a one-run first off a Bronco error, but the second was when they did the most of their damage with four runs. In the fifth inning, they plated two more runs with one out to bring the score to 8-0 to finish off the game.

The Broncos will play a double-header against Arizona State tomorrow starting at noon to finish up the weekend.
