Softball Announces 2015 Schedule
Getting set for the second season of West Coast Conference softball, Santa Clara softball head coach Lisa Mize has announced the team’s 2015 schedule. The season opens Feb. 6 in Phoenix, Ariz. at the Grand Canyon Kick Off vs. Northern Colorado and Tulsa. The Broncos host three tournaments with the home opener vs. Seattle on Feb. 20. The season wraps-up vs. BYU on May 2 with Senior Day.

SCU Softball’s Winter Camp Saturday, Jan. 17 Nearing Capacity; Reserve Your Spot Today
There is still time to register for Santa Clara University Softball's 2015 Winter Camp, which will be held on Sat., Jan. 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Field on Santa Clara's Softball Field. However, there are just a few spots remaining.

Softball Getting Set for Fall Games
With the season still months away, Santa Clara softball is hard at work getting set for its third season in the beautiful new Santa Clara Softball Stadium and second season of West Coast Conference softball. Head coach Lisa Mize, entering her seventh season at the helm of the Broncos, has had her team out for 6 a.m. practices this fall. Santa Clara will play eight fall games to stay sharp and get ready for the regular season opener in early 2015.

Softball Adds Matt Lisle to Coaching Staff
Coming off the first year of West Coast Conference softball, Santa Clara softball head coach Lisa Mize has added Matt Lisle to her staff. He will be in charge of coaching the hitters, recruiting, and camps. Lisle comes to Santa Clara after serving as the lead assistant coach at Cal State University - East Bay during the 2013-2014 season. He will continue to serve as an Associate Scout for the Detroit Tigers where he helps to identify and evaluate amateur & professional prospects in the Northern California area for the organization.

Bronco Softball Incoming Freshmen Finish Strong High School Careers
Coming off the first year of West Coast Conference softball, Santa Clara softball will welcome six freshmen to the Mission campus for the 2015 season. Ellie Fisher of Tracy, Calif., McCall James of El Segundo, Calif., Kelli Tatum of Fountain Valley, Calif., Micaela Vierra of Huntington Beach, Calif., Justine Garner of Roseville, Calif., and Elizabeth Ray of Salina, Calif. will all start their Bronco careers during the 2014-15 academic year.

Bronco Softball Finishes First Year in WCC
In the first year of West Coast Conference softball, Santa Clara softball continued to move in the right direction with several big performances. Santa Clara swept LMU on the road in a three-game series and went into the final weekend of the season with a chance to finish second in the conference. Perhaps the most thrilling moment of the season was the walk-off 1-0 win vs. Fresno State on April 17.

Four Bronco Softball Players Honored by WCC; Scribner Named Defensive Player of the Year
In the first season of West Coast Conference softball, Santa Clara has four players honored by the conference on the All-WCC Softball teams. Breezy Bernard, Stephanie Fisher, and Kelly Scribner all nabbed First Team honors while Ciara Gonzales was named to the Second Team. Scribner was also named the conference Defensive Player of the Year for her work at first base.
