AS A JUNIOR IN 2012:
Emerged as one of Santa Clara’s most effective pitchers in 2012 … made 16 starts and led the team in wins (5), strikeouts (67) and complete games (7) … worked five innings of relief and picked up an early-season win over St. Mary’s (Feb. 10) … struck out a season-high 13 batters in a 3-2 complete-game victory over Seattle (Feb. 26) … she improved her record to 2-2 after that impressive win over Seattle … fanned seven batters two other times, first in a complete-game six-hitter against St. Mary’s (Mar. 10) then again in 9-plus innings against San Diego (Apr. 14) … pitched SCU to a 3-2 victory over St. Mary’s (Apr. 21), allowing just four hits and one earned run … her seventh complete-game game in a gutsy seven-inning effort against CSU Bakersfield (Apr. 29) in the final day of the PCSC season.

AT NEW MEXICO STATE: Played her freshman and sophomore seasons at New Mexico State University ... led the Aggies with 24 starts as a true freshman in 2010 and helped NMSU win the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) title as a sophomore in 2011 …  she made a total of 45 total appearances and posted a record of 9-11 … led the Aggies in innings pitched (103.0) and strikeouts (69) as a freshman - posting a 5.64 ERA allowing 126 hits … earned her first career win in first-ever game, a 2-1 victory over Nebraska … Theis held the 'Huskers to one run on two hits in five innings of work … on April 26, 2010 Theis pitched a complete game win at Cal State Bakersfield, going seven innings allowing one run on five hits while striking out three … on Feb. 19, 2010 Theis set a career high with seven strikeouts in a 6-4 win over St. Mary's.

HIGH SCHOOL:
A 2009 graduate of Leigh High School in San Jose, where she led the Longhorns to a pair of Blossom Valley Athletic League titles … named to the all-conference team and was the Most Valuable Player of both the Mount Hamilton Division and a two-time team MVP... she was a Blossom Valley Athletic League selection multiple times and was named ‘Sophomore of the Year’ in the league.

PERSONAL:
Born in San Jose, Calif. as the daughter of Dan and Brandi Theis … has two sisters, Ashley and Elysha … excellent student, earned Western Athletic Conference All-Academic Team honors during both years at New Mexico State … is majoring in Psychology at SCU.
