Santa Clara, Calif. - Santa Clara University and softball head coach Steve Rianda invites all children ages 14-and-under to come out to Marsalli Park this Sunday for Youth Softball Day. Come cheer on the Santa Clara Broncos as they host a doubleheader against the visiting Cal Poly Mustangs. The first pitch is slated to be thrown at noon.
Several local youth softball teams are expected to turn out for Sunday's event, as Santa Clara looks to gain momentum heading into the Pacific Coast Softball Conference opener on April 8 against the University of San Diego. Currently, the Broncos own a record of 10-16 and will also participate in the Stanford Invitational II on Friday and Saturday prior to Sunday's twin bill.
The Santa Clara softball coaching staff also offers clinics which are free to Bronco Kidz members. Please check back often to see when the next one will be available. Additionally, if any local youth or prep coaches are interested in having the softball staff conduct a clinic for their own team, please contact Coach Rianda via email at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
