Dec. 17, 2007

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Senior captain Brittany Klein and Sophomore Kiki Bosio were both honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as they were named to the 2007 All-West Region team. Bosio received second team honors, while Klein was named to the third team all-region. The honor is the first for both players.

Kiki Bosio produced her first multi-goal game helping the Broncos to a 7-1 rout of then-No. 2 Notre Dame.

This season, the duo combined for 14 of the Broncos 33 goals, each collecting seven. Bosio also led the team in assists and points with six and 20, respectively, while Klein dished out two assists and registered 16 points. Both players were named to the All-WCC first team and were fixtures in the conference standings throughout season. In the final standings, Bosio ranked second in shots per game and fifth in points. Klein and Bosio were tied for sixth in the league in goals.

The Broncos earned their 19th consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament where they fell 2-0 to No. 16 California in the first round. Santa Clara finished the season with a 12-6-3 overall record and a 4-3-0 mark in the WCC, which tied SCU with Loyola Marymount for third place in the conference.
