Catching Up with Kennedy Dinius

Written by EYEBRONCO reporter, Kendra Cavaney '15

Kennedy Dinius (KD) feels like this is the perfect place for her. She is excited to not only get the chance to play collegiate soccer but make strong friendships among the girls on the team. She is excited to make the most of this season and Santa Clara Broncos (SCB) got the chance to ask her a few questions.

SCB: How is your summer so far? What have you been doing?

KD: My summer was really nice. I was able to spend time with friends and family, while putting in a lot of time on the field. I trained almost everyday with my club coach and team before heading to SCU for preseason.

SCB: One thing you're looking forward to here at Santa Clara?

KD: I'm looking forward to a lot of things here at Santa Clara, but I am probably most excited to get to know the team more. They seem like a really cool group of girls so I can't wait for the rest of the season. Meeting new people in general is something I'm really excited about.

SCB: Why did you choose SCU?

KD: I chose Santa Clara because I felt so comfortable when I visited the campus. The student body was so welcoming, I knew it was the right place for me.

SCB: Any goals as a player for your first college season?

KD: My goal this year is to learn. I want to have a better understanding of the game from the coaches and the veteran players. I want to make the most of the first year by working as hard as I can on and off the field.
