Why Ashley chose Santa Clara: “I chose Santa Clara because I wanted to be a part of the winning tradition that Santa Clara has to offer in soccer and academics. Also, the beautiful campus and the family atmosphere created by the coaches and players is everything that I was looking for and more. I am so excited to be part of a team who has the same winning desire that I have.”
Head coach Jerry Smith on Ashley: "Ashley may be the most versatile player in our incoming class. She plays as well at the front of the team as she does the back. She is also very two-footed which will allow her to play on either flank well. Ashley is very determined and athletic. I believe she will be mostly used as a utility player in her first year until we determine a regular position for her. Her versatility will allow her to get on the field in several different positions."
