SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Redshirt senior Jordan Angeli was named to the CollegeSoccer360.com Primetime Performers of the Week national team today for her efforts in Santa Clara's 2-1 overtime win over Georgetown on Sunday.
The Lakewood, Colo. native provided the game's clutch play when she scored her second goal of the year with just 13 seconds left in the first overtime period against the Hoyas, finishing from close range after gathering a loose ball in the box off teammate Kiki Bosio's flip throw-in.
The extra time win was the first for the Broncos this season, who are now 3-2 overall.
Santa Clara hosts its annual tournament this weekend and welcomes third-ranked Stanford, fifth-ranked Notre Dame, and seventh-ranked Purdue to the Mission Campus. The tournament features a Broncos-Irish clash at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night preceded by a Cardinal-Boilermakers contest and Sunday's College Cup semifinal rematch between Notre Dame and Stanford at 11 a.m. followed by the Santa Clara-Purdue.
