Head Coach Ray Leone
On the Difference Between First and Second Halves
"Well, we did what we wanted to do. We played to feet, we got the ball to Manya (Makoski) some, connected some passes and that's what we tried to do the whole time. hen Manya went out, it really put us in a bind. They got the momentum after that and that spell was 10 or 15 minutes and was an incredible display. We brought out their best, and their best beat us, so I can live with that."
On What the Team Can Take from This
"I told (the team) you can't buy experience; you have to earn it. So that's what we did today, we earned experience, because we have been playing all this year, everything we have done, it's like a new thing that we have never done before and so here we are, and I am glad we played at Santa Clara, I really am, because if you want to win a national championship you have to see what it is like to play against one of these guys. So we did and we learned from it and we played 60 minutes with them and that wasn't enough obviously, but that was 60 good minutes and you've got to build on that."
On the Physical Challenge
"I think we did not win the physical challenge, and that is what changes the game. And, by the way, I think it was a physically fair challenge. It was a great game, it was exciting. I mean that injury with both players just going for it, same thing with their kid that got hurt, they were just going for it and that's the way it is."
