SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's golf team closed out the fall tournament season with a seventh place finish at the Lamkin Grip/Cal Poly Invitational Tuesday. The Broncos finished ahead of West Coast Conference rivals Portland (11th) and Gonzaga (12th).

Sophomore Miki Ueoka led the team with a top-20 finish. She tied for 19th at 10-over par. Meaghan Kari, Tammy Surtees and Katie Sharpe all tied for 34th at 14-over par, while Jamie Nonaka tied for 53rd at 18-over.

San Jose State was the team champion, while Mary Beth McKenna of Xavier was the individual medalist at one-under par.

The Broncos open the Spring 2009 Tournament schedule with the UC Riverside Lady Braveheart on Feb. 9-10 at Oak Valley Golf Course in Beaumont, Calif.
