Kapolei, Oahu - The Santa Clara women's golf team kept their scores steady in the final round of the Kent Youel Invitational in Hawai'i today to end up in 14th place. The Broncos were in 15th going into the third and final round. Freshman Miki Ueoka recorded her second consecutive top-20 finish to start her collegiate career.

Ueoka (+12) shot a final round 76 to go along with her first two round scores of 78 and 74. She ended up tied for 19th to go along with the 9th place finish three weeks ago.

Senior Corey Utsurogi shot the best round of the day for the Broncos, finishing up the tournament with a three-over 75. She ended up tied for 50th at +21.

Finishing up the scoring for Santa Clara were sophomores Erin Sullivan and Katherine Suarez. Sullivan's final round score of 83 put her tied for 56th and at +23 for the tournament. Suarez shot a final round 82, her best round of the tournament. She ended up at +32 and tied for 81st place.

Freshman Katie Sharpe finished the tournament tied for 94th with a final score of +39 after her final round 87.

The team overall had rounds of 317, 315, and 316, keeping a steady pace both days. It was again a difficult tournament in which no player ended up under par. The Broncos will look to build on what they learned at this tournament next week as they participate in the Cal Poly Invitational in San Luis Obispo. That tournament starts Monday, November 5 with the first two rounds and will conclude with one round the following day.
