Second Round Of Gold Rush Suspended Due To Darkness

SEAL BEACH, Calif. – Unable to complete all 36 holes before darkness fell, the second round of the Gold Rush was suspended and will be completed Tuesday morning before final round action begins.

Santa Clara women's golf ended the first 18 holes at 16-over 304 and will complete the second round of action beginning at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. The Broncos trailed leader San Jose State by 15 shots after first round play.

Chloe Wong and Kristin Le were the top individual finishers for Santa Clara after the opening round with each carding a 3-over 75. They were tied with five other golfers entering second round action, six shots behind first round leader My Leander of San Jose State.

Annie Freman was a shot behind her teammates at 4-over 76. Kyleigh Moreno scored a first round 6-over 78 and Isabella Salant carded a 14-over 86.

Freman was one of a handful of players and the only Bronco to complete the second round. She carded a 2-over 74 and enters the final round with a score of 6-over 150.
