Three SCU Women’s Golfers Finish Inside Top 20 at Monarch Dunes

NIPOMO, Calif. – Santa Clara University had three players finish inside the top 20 at the 2011 Firestone Grill Cal Poly Invitational at Monarch Dunes Golf Club. Salinas High School alumnus Taylor Camany was SCU's top finisher, tying for ninth, and newcomers Balbina Guajardo and Casey Briggs came in at 15th and 18th respectively.

Brooke Stephens posted a team-best round of 76 on Sunday morning and Camany, her sophomore classmate, matched that score in final round play Tuesday. After all-conference senior Tamara Surtees withdrew Sunday due to illness, Santa Clara was forced to press ahead using all four available player's scores without having the benefit of the 5-count-4 format.
