Bronco Women Place Fourth at WCC's, Miki Ueoka Again Among League's Best

HOLLISTER, Calif. - Santa Clara senior Miki Ueoka capped off an outstanding collegiate career by turning in her third straight top 10 finish at the West Coast Conference Championships. Ueoka carded a final round 73 to place fifth overall and true freshman Taylor Camany came in tied for 11th. The Broncos were fourth as a team after Tuesday's combined score of 316.

The Broncos, who were ranked as high as No. 98 this season under first-year head coach Krystal Kelly, shot a second round 307 as a team in second-round play. Ueoka, Camany and Tamara Surtees were all at 76 or better Monday afternoon. Surtees finished 14th overall, followed by Kelsy O'Brien (T22) and Lauren Oh (T24).

Ueoka is expected to earn First Team All-WCC honors for the third straight season. Having qualified for the NCAA Tournament as an individual her sophomore season and winning three collegiate events, she will go down as one of the best women's golfers to ever play at Santa Clara.
