Women's Golf Places Fifth at Lady Matador Fall Classic

OXNARD, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's golf team placed fifth at the Lady Matador Fall Classic, hosted by CS Northridge at the River Ridge Golf Club. The two-day tournament covered 36 holes on a par-73 layout measuring 5,927 yards.

Redshirt freshman Jessica Monson led the Broncos, placing fifth individually with round of 78 and 81 for a 13-over 159. Junior Sarah Dahm finished just outside of the top 10, finishing 11th with a 165.

Santa Clara posted rounds of 338 and 340 for a two-day total 678, 94 strokes over par. Portland won the event with a 629.

The Broncos have concluded play for the fall season and will return to action Feb. 12-13 at the Lady Aztec Invitational in San Diego.
