Freshman Novice Four Finish Third in Heat at IRA Championships

COOPER RIVER, N.J. - The Santa Clara University men's crew had its freshman novice four compete on day one of the IRA Championships Thursday in Cooper River, N.J.
The freshman four raced in heat one of its class and finished third in a time of 6:54.04, one full length behind Navy who finished second. Princeton won heat one in a time of 6:42.55, one full length ahead of Navy.
The Broncos will race again Friday morning in the Reps and will need to win its race in order to move on to the grand finals. A finish of second or third in their Rep will place the Broncos in the petite finals on Saturday.
