Women's Basketball To Host Sixth Annual Lobster Dinner Oct. 25
Santa Clara women’s basketball will host its sixth annual Lobster Dinner on Sat., Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. in the Adobe Lodge on the Mission campus. This is the first year for new head coach JR Payne and her coaching staff and will be a great opportunity for fans to meet the new coaching staff and the team!

Santa Clara women’s basketball will open its 2014-15 season, the first under new head coach JR Payne, with a pair of exhibition games. The first game will be Nov. 1 vs. Notre Dame De Namur at 6 p.m. with the second being Nov. 6 vs. Dominican at 6 p.m.

Women's Basketball Announces West Coast Conference Schedule
Santa Clara women’s basketball will open its West Coast Conference schedule at the Leavey Center on Dec. 27 vs. Saint Mary’s. The last meeting between the two teams was in Moraga when the Broncos came away with an 89-83 upset. It is the earliest start to WCC play in program history with the previous record being last season when the conference season started Dec. 30.

Lori Parkinson Transfers to Santa Clara
Santa Clara women’s basketball will welcome transfer Lori Parkinson to the Mission campus for the 2014-15 season. Parkinson, a rising junior, played at Southern Utah the past two years under new Santa Clara head coach JR Payne. She attended Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah where she was a candidate for the Gatorade State Girls Basketball Player of the Year Award as a senior.

The Santa Clara women’s basketball coaching staff joined the Chillin’4Charity trend recently and jumped into the pool at the Sullivan Aquatic Center to help raise money for the Kay Yow Foundation. The foundation helps raise awareness for breast cancer and funds research.
