SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The No. 12 Santa Clara men's water polo team will kick off the home half of their schedule on Saturday, Oct. 25, in the new Sullivan Aquatics Center. After playing 19 road games, the Broncos look forward to diving into their new home facility, as they host No. 20 Air Force and California Baptist at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively. Santa Clara returns to play after having a bye week last week and look to remain in the win column after their 17-3 routing of UC Santa Cruz. The Broncos are 13-6 on the season, are third in the WWPA, with a 7-2, conference record. Following their home opener, SCU will travel to Berkeley to take on the No. 3 Golden Bears of California.

Last Week For the Broncos
The Broncos did not play last week as they had their first bye week of the season. Last week they fell in the rankings to No. 13, but bounced back up to No. 12 going into this weekend's play.

Scouting No. 20 Air Force
The 12-8 Falcons of the No. 20 Air Force Academy will travel to the West Coast the third time this season. Air Force has won their last seven games and is fifth in the WWPA standings. Last weekend they decisively defeated Iona, 15-8 and 17-5, respectively. Leading the Falcons offense efforts is sophomore Bobby Greiger, who is 34th in goals scored in nation, with 34 goals, followed by junior Jack Hines who has scored 30 goals this season and is 49th in the nation. Goalie David Ostrom has 155 saves this season for a 15th place standing in the country. Right behind Santa Clara's Michael Wishart.

Scouting California Baptist
California Baptist travels to Santa Clara the day after hosting Riverside Community College the day before. The 23-10 Lancers, who had been nationally ranked No. 20 last week, were edged out of the rankings by Air Force. They are coming off 10-9 loss to Pacific and look to bounce back this weekend. While at SCU they will take on the Broncos and Air Force in the day's double header. Leading Cal Baptist is Chris Gwinn who has scored 11 goals, posts three assists and notched 11 steals.

Scouting No. 3 California
The No. 3 Golden Bears host Santa Clara after playing UCLA at home. In their last outing, Cal breezed by UC Davis, 11-2. Mike Sample scored 3 goals in the game's efforts. Cal who is 11-4 overall and 0-1 in conference are led by Frank Reynolds who has scored 23 goals this season, followed by Spencer Warden who has 20 goals and 42 steals on the season. Goalie Jacob McIntosh is third in the MSPF with a 10 saves per game average.
