No. 12 Broncos to Open Up Play in New Pool

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The No. 12 Santa Clara men's water polo team will kick off the home half of their schedule on Saturday, Oct. 25, in the new Sullivan Aquatics Center. After playing 19 road games, the Broncos look forward to diving into their new home facility, as they host No. 20 Air Force and California Baptist at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively. Santa Clara returns to play after having a bye week last week and look to remain in the win column after their 17-3 routing of UC Santa Cruz. The Broncos are 13-6 on the season, are third in the WWPA, with a 7-2, conference record. Following their home opener, SCU will travel to Berkeley to take on the No. 3 Golden Bears of California. Scouting No. 3 California The No. 3 Golden Bears host Santa Clara after playing UCLA at home. In their last outing, Cal breezed by UC Davis, 11-2. Mike Sample scored 3 goals in the game's efforts. Cal who is 11-4 overall and 0-1 in conference are led by Frank Reynolds who has scored 23 goals this season, followed by Spencer Warden who has 20 goals and 42 steals on the season. Goalie Jacob McIntosh is third in the MSPF with a 10 saves per game average. |
