Men's Water Polo Drops 11-4 Contest at UC Davis

Oct. 16, 2004

DAVIS, Calif. - The Santa Clara men's water polo team dropped an 11-4 contest at UC Davis on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Broncos fall to 8-13 on the season.

"We did not play our best today," head coach Keith Wilbur said. "Hopefully, we can build on today and use it for the next time we face the Aggies. Also, we will need to rebound before hosting Santa Cruz tomorrow."

Kenny Flanagan-De La Hoz, Jon Greco, Grant Allison and Charlie Moore each scored in the contest to give Santa Clara its four goals. Allison also earned three ejections on the day, while Flanagan-De la Hoz earned two kick-outs of his own.

The Broncos will host their first home match of the season on Sunday, when UC Santa Cruz comes to Leavey Pool at 1:00 p.m. The teams have split their previous matches this season as SCU looks to get an edge over its Bay Area rival.
