Claremont Convergence Quote Sheet - 10/6/06

Oct. 6, 2006

Recap

Head coach Keith Wilbur, on victories: "It was kind of a good day. We've got two more games left. It was definitely a good start for the tournament, so hopefully we can keep things rolling."

Liam Farrell, on victory against Chapman: "We came out really strong, and just played our game. It was clear from the beginning that we were better conditioned."

Farrell, on team's performance: "We definitely came out more confident today. We played our kind of water polo and performed like the team we know we are."

Farrell, looking toward tommorrow: "We've had some good contests against La Verne in the past, so it should be a good game."

Billy Gorin, on his performance against Chapman: "We did a good job sticking to our game plan. What can I say, the counter-attack goals just went my way, but overall we played very well as team. It was definitely a team effort."

Gorin, on tomorrow's games: "Two good teams, so they should be good games. If we play well, we should be able to win."

Daniel Soares, on team's performance against Occidental: "We really came out firing. Charlie Moore had a couple really good assists, and Jon Young played out of his mind. It was a good all around game."

Soares, on playing La Verne and Pomona: "They (La Verne) always come out really tough. We beat them by one last year. And Pomona will be a tough game. We're playing them in their home pool, so they should be pretty fired up to play us."
