Parking Advisory for Saturday October 26th
In anticipation of this Saturday, the Santa Clara Athletic department wanted to send out information in regards to parking. There are several events going on so please be prepared for some changes for this Saturday due to the San Jose Earthquakes game at 2:30 p.m. later on that day.
The Rodeo Men's Water Polo Tournament
Fans coming to The Rodeo Water Polo tournament on that day are directed to park in three locations. The first one is the Schott stadium lot behind the batting cages. You will be able to park there the entire day without moving your vehicle. Due to contractual obligations with the San Jose Earthquakes the parking structure will shut down at 11 a.m. You can access the lot behind Schott stadium by turning onto Campbell Ave., which is at the intersection of Accolti way and El Camino Real. You will then need to continue down Campbell Ave. and turn right into the lot. You can park there as long as you want and won't need to move your car at 11 a.m. when the contractual obligations with the Earthquakes start.
You can also park in the Benson Hall lot, which is on the corner of Market St. and the Alameda. As listed on the campus map link provided in this you can get to the Sullivan Aquatic Center by walking in between the Learning Commons and Graham Hall. Turn left immediately after Graham Hall and turn right once you pass the Learning commons. Take a right and that will lead you to the pool, which will be on your right.
Also, people will be allowed to park along Accolti way in any B spots by the Cowell Health Center. To access this lot turn onto Accolti way off of El Camino Real and then continue on past the tennis courts. The lot will be up on your right. Make sure to identify yourself to the Campus safety officer that you are here for water polo and not here for the Earthquakes game.
Why not be able to park in the structure and the Leavey lot?
Due to contractual obligations with the Earthquakes they will have control of these lots starting at 11 a.m. We recommend that you avoid these lots if you want to stay after 11 a.m. because you will be either cited and or towed if you are in this lot after 11 a.m.
If you follow these parking tips you will be able to park on campus the entire day without having to move your vehicle at 11 a.m. and make your visit to campus much more enjoyable.
